CAF Unveils New Trophy and Visual Identity Ahead of Futsal AFCON Morocco 2026

RABAT, Morocco — The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has unveiled a new visual identity and trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, marking a new chapter for Africa’s premier continental futsal competition.

The unveiling comes ahead of the official draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, scheduled to take place in Rabat on Monday, 10 August.

CAF said the new visual identity reflects the growth, ambition and evolving character of African futsal, drawing inspiration from the sport’s fluid movement, speed and intensity.

The design seeks to capture the creativity, technical ability, passion and competitive spirit that increasingly define futsal across the continent, as CAF continues efforts to elevate the profile of the sport and showcase its development on the international stage.

At the centre of the new identity is a newly designed trophy intended to embody the character and dynamics of futsal.

The trophy features strong diagonal lines representing the speed, movement and excitement of the game, while five golden arches symbolize the five players who take to the court for each team.

At the top of the trophy, a final arch represents the team captain lifting a ball engraved with the African continent, symbolising the ultimate achievement of being crowned African champions.

The centrepiece features a matt gold map of Africa set against a shiny gold-plated background, reinforcing the continental identity of the competition.

The name of the tournament is engraved at the base of the trophy, while its reverse side carries an engraved roll of honour celebrating previous champions and the competition’s history.

The new identity and trophy come as anticipation builds for the 2026 edition, which will be hosted by Morocco from 12 to 21 October 2026.

Eight nations have secured qualification for the finals: Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.

With the official draw set to determine the groups and route to the title, the introduction of the new trophy and branding adds another layer of significance to an edition that CAF hopes will further showcase the growth and rising standards of futsal in Africa.
