President William Ruto has congratulated Arsenal F.C. following what he described as the club’s “epic adventure” from difficult moments to triumph at the summit of the English Premier League.
In a statement shared on social media, the Kenyan leader praised the North London club’s resilience, discipline and determination, saying Arsenal’s journey symbolized the power of hope and hard work in overcoming adversity.
“It has been quite an experience to follow Arsenal Football Club’s epic adventure, from times of struggle and crushing setback, to successive seasons of recovery and resurgence on their glorious path to the summit of the English Premier League,” President Ruto wrote.
The Kenyan President reflected on the club’s recent years of rebuilding, noting that fans had witnessed “the power of hope, resilience, focus and relentless hard work in action” as the team battled “formidable adversaries” throughout the campaign.
Describing the moment as a reward for faith and dedication, Ruto said the team’s success affirmed the importance of discipline, teamwork and commitment.
“Tonight, the great reward is won. The team is victorious. Its faith and dedication is vindicated. And our commitment to succeed through work, discipline and teamwork is affirmed. Congratulations to the Gunners,” he added.
