Ghana Strengthens Diplomatic Ties as President Mahama Receives Seven New Ambassadors

President John Dramani Mahama has received letters of credence from seven newly appointed Heads of Mission representing Malta, Russia, Poland, Indonesia, Panama, Armenia, and Tanzania, reaffirming Ghana’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with countries across the world.

Welcoming the envoys on June 17, President Mahama outlined his administration’s vision for a prosperous and modernized Ghana, emphasizing policies aimed at attracting investment and driving economic growth.

“Our 24-Hour Economy policy and digital transformation agendas are specifically designed to create a fertile, high-growth environment for international investment,” the President stated.

Mahama noted that Ghana’s economy is showing resilient signs of recovery and is ready for deeper collaboration in key sectors, including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, and energy.

“As a strategic hub for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Ghana is open for business and remains the gateway to the continent,” he said.

The President expressed optimism about working closely with the new ambassadors to foster innovation, strengthen bilateral relations, and expand cooperation between Ghana and their respective countries.
